Husker Tuesday Wear for the leaders
Another great day at CHIC is coming to a close. It was of course Husker Tuesday, July 14
The morning began with basecamps where the theme of the day was our understanding of who God is. Our group went to a FOcus group or seminar dealing with how we arrive at questions and how to engage the thought process of trying to figure out who God is and what we believe. Check with a local theological school, because they may be able to get a credit or two for that 1 hour lecture!!
Then the experience of the morning was a creative worship experience done by the North Park University chapel team and they did a great job pulling in music and God’s word and video and art and combined another experience to point us to understanding that God is so much bigger than we think.

Crafts at the block party...oh yeah!!
Then there was lunch and afternoon options. Some went to a new movie release that will be coming in Jan 2012 and others went to the pool and the ultimate frizbee tournament where we took a comanding last place of 8 teams, so we felt pretty good about that. Will went on a cave tour and loved it!!
After dinner there was another block party and then off to the main stage with Israel Houghton and New Breed leading worship followed by a great speaker, whose name I’ll come up with later. Students loved him and he challenged them to understand that God’s promise for them is way bigger than their perhaps (1 Samuel 14). Ask them about the fly squishing analogy to faith when they get back.

Everyone is doing great and we have had great conversations with so many. Peace out.
