The Jesus Painter
Wednesday, July 15
Quite a day here at CHIC 2009. First of all, the basecamp this morning was really amazing and eye opening where our students were challenged to think about their world and what to do about the issues of human trafficking and modern slavery. It was tough, but good to know and a couple thousand students wrote letters to their congressmen and addressed them and mailed them there. Boaz Johnson, professor at NPU talked about his experience in India and what is constantly happening there. Get ready for your students to want you to purchase different products “That don’t have blood on them.”
The 3 on 3 basketball tournament was this afternoon where our team was in the championship game and only lost at the very last second on a prayerful shot by the opposing team. 2nd place ain’t bad!! They did great.

Mainstage tonight featured Fly Leaf and Judy Howard Peterson as the speaker (quite a contrast in volume). It was great and so amazing to see countless students coming forward to give their lives to the Lord. There were tons of first time commitments and three of them were from our group!! Praise God for reveling himself to our students and allowing them to shed their burdens. You’ll hear more on that, but I was blown away by his design! Throw some rosebuds up for Sunday…yellow please! Once again it’s quite late but it was a fabulous day…thanks for all your prayers…there is a lot of other great stuff going on as well as the new commitments. I’m sure you’ll hear more on that tomorrow.
